On-The-Job Training Policy

Anthony Allega Cement Contractor, Inc. is a voluntary participant in the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) On-The-Job Training Program (OJT). It is designed to partner with highway construction contractors and various trade unions to increase the number of journey-level workers on highway construction projects. OJT’s primary goal is to offer equal opportunity for the training and upgrading of women, minorities, and socially and economically disadvantaged persons toward journey-level status. The program emphasizes the recruiting, training, and retraining of these persons in highway construction crafts. In order for this program to be successful and voluntary, the cooperation of these parties is essential.
